Privacy policy

FAMEYE is a private family app. It is run by the family administrator for their own family, it is invitation-only, and it is not offered to the public.
What is stored
- Your account: name, email address, and the family you belong to.
- Chat: the messages you send in the family rooms, and the photos and documents you attach.
- Vault documents: files you upload, with the title and dates you give them.
- Emergency details: only what you type in yourself, such as a blood group or a contact.
- Location and phone details: only while you have location sharing switched on. This covers the phone's location and basic device facts — battery level and charging, network type, phone model, Android version and free storage.
Sign in with Google
If you sign in with Google, Google tells the app your name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else. The app uses this only to recognise an account that already exists. The app also asks for permission to use Google Drive, limited to files the app itself creates: chat attachments and vault documents are stored in the app owner's Google Drive. The app cannot see any other file in that Drive.
Who can see what
- Family members see the chat, the family tree and the documents shared with the family.
- Location is shown only to the platform administrator. Your family head and the other members cannot see it.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone outside the family, except the Google services the app runs on (sign-in, Drive storage and email delivery).
Your choices
- Location sharing is off until you turn it on. You can choose exact or approximate (about 1 km), and you can switch it off at any time in Settings — after that nothing further is sent from your phone.
- You can ask the administrator to delete your account and the data that belongs to it.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form. Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted. Attachments are kept in Google Drive under the app owner's account and are served through links that expire.
Children
Children take part only as members of their own family, added by the family head.
